Create a contact in Front when a new contact is added in Intercom

When a new contact is added in Intercom, create a contact in Front.

Start the 14-day trial, then find it under Templates → Library. It installs into the client you choose, switched off, with its checklist.

UsesBeta

Every step, in order

When it happens in the first app, the step runs in the second, with the client’s own account.

A new contact is added
A lead or user created in Intercom (a chat, a form, an import), checked every 5 minutes.
Create a contact
A contact with an email handle.
  1. Starts whenA new contact is added
  2. App stepNamed after the contact

What each client fills in

Nothing. It needs only the accounts it connects to.

The accounts it needs

Each is the client’s own, stored encrypted and never copied between clients. Until one is added the client’s checklist shows it, and nothing runs.

  • In the client’s Intercom: Settings → Integrations → Developer Hub → New app (for their own workspace, no review) → Authentication → copy the access token. The conversation trigger needs the app to be allowed to read conversations.

  • Front

In the client’s Front: Settings → Developers → API tokens → Create API token with the Shared resources namespace and the Read and Write permissions (Write for the contact step, Read for the triggers, which list events).

After you install it

It lands switched off. The client’s checklist holds exactly this:

  1. Connect the client’s Intercom, for “A new contact is added”
  2. Connect the client’s Front, for “Create a contact”

Thrum is cooking.

Get early access and you’ll be among the first in. Early members get a launch perk.
