Create a task in Asana when a ticket is solved (or reaches a status) in Zendesk

When a ticket is solved (or reaches a status) in Zendesk, create a task in Asana.

Start the 14-day trial, then find it under Templates → Library. It installs into the client you choose, switched off, with its checklist.

UsesBeta

Every step, in order

When it happens in the first app, the step runs in the second, with the client’s own account.

A ticket is solved (or reaches a status)
A ticket moves to the status you choose, within seconds. Webhooks are made with an admin’s token.
Create a task
A task in a project.
  1. Starts whenA ticket is solved (or reaches a status)
  2. App stepNamed after the ticket’s subject

What each client fills in

Asana: Project ID
For example the number in the project’s URL

The accounts it needs

Each is the client’s own, stored encrypted and never copied between clients. Until one is added the client’s checklist shows it, and nothing runs.

  • In the client’s Zendesk: Admin Center → Apps and integrations → APIs → Zendesk API → enable Token access → Add API token. The triggers make webhooks, which needs an admin’s email and token.

  • app.asana.com/0/my-apps → Create new token (signed in to the client’s Asana).

After you install it

It lands switched off. The client’s checklist holds exactly this:

  1. Connect the client’s Zendesk, for “A ticket is solved (or reaches a status)”
  2. Connect the client’s Asana, for “Create a task”
  3. Fill in Asana: Project ID (For example the number in the project’s URL)

Thrum is cooking.

Get early access and you’ll be among the first in. Early members get a launch perk.
