Every step, in order

When it happens in the first app, the step runs in the second, with the client’s own account.

An email bounces
An email bounced, within seconds. The API key needs Event Webhook access (Mail Send alone cannot make one), and each trigger uses one of the plan’s event webhooks.
Open a ticket
A new ticket from the requester, with the message as its first comment.

What each client fills in

Nothing. It needs only the accounts it connects to.

The accounts it needs

Each is the client’s own, stored encrypted and never copied between clients. Until one is added the client’s checklist shows it, and nothing runs.

  • SendGrid → Settings → API Keys → Create API Key with Mail Send access; for the triggers, also the Event Webhook settings permission (user.webhooks.event.settings.read and user.webhooks.event.settings.update), or Full Access. The From address must be a verified sender.

  • In the client’s Zendesk: Admin Center → Apps and integrations → APIs → Zendesk API → enable Token access → Add API token. The triggers make webhooks, which needs an admin’s email and token.

After you install it

It lands switched off. The client’s checklist holds exactly this:

  1. Connect the client’s SendGrid, for “An email bounces”
  2. Connect the client’s Zendesk, for “Open a ticket”

Thrum is cooking.

Get early access and you’ll be among the first in. Early members get a launch perk.
