A form

Add to an audience in Mailchimp when a form is submitted

When a form is submitted, add to an audience in Mailchimp.

Start the 14-day trial, then find it under Templates → Library. It installs into the client you choose, switched off, with its checklist.

UsesBeta

Every step, in order

When it happens in the first app, the step runs in the second, with the client’s own account.

A form is submitted
Someone sends one of the client’s forms.
Add to an audience
Adds the email to an audience, or updates its merge fields if it is already there: a lead who submits twice is one subscriber. The status applies to a new subscriber only; an existing one keeps theirs (change it with “Update a subscriber”).

What each client fills in

Mailchimp: Audience ID
For example Audience → Settings → Audience name and defaults

The accounts it needs

Each is the client’s own, stored encrypted and never copied between clients. Until one is added the client’s checklist shows it, and nothing runs.

  • In the client’s Mailchimp: Profile → Extras → API keys → Create A Key. The server prefix is the part after the dash (us21).

After you install it

It lands switched off. The client’s checklist holds exactly this:

  1. Pick the client’s form that starts it
  2. Connect the client’s Mailchimp, for “Add to an audience”
  3. Fill in Mailchimp: Audience ID (For example Audience → Settings → Audience name and defaults)

Thrum is cooking.

Get early access and you’ll be among the first in. Early members get a launch perk.
