Every step, in order
When it happens in the first app, the step runs in the second, with the client’s own account.
- A ticket is opened
- A new ticket, within seconds. Webhooks are made with an admin’s token. The requester’s name and email are not in the event: find the user by the requester ID in a step.
- Add a row
- Add a row at the bottom of a sheet, one value per column, left to right.

Google Sheets
What each client fills in
- Google Sheets: Spreadsheet ID
- For example from the URL: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/<this>/edit
- Google Sheets: Sheet (tab)
- For example Sheet1
The accounts it needs
Each is the client’s own, stored encrypted and never copied between clients. Until one is added the client’s checklist shows it, and nothing runs.
In the client’s Zendesk: Admin Center → Apps and integrations → APIs → Zendesk API → enable Token access → Add API token. The triggers make webhooks, which needs an admin’s email and token.
In your own Google Cloud project: enable the Google Sheets API, then IAM & Admin → Service accounts → Create → Keys → Add key → JSON, and paste the file here. Then share each client sheet with the service account’s email (…@….iam.gserviceaccount.com) as an Editor. The account is yours; no Google review is needed.
After you install it
It lands switched off. The client’s checklist holds exactly this:
- Connect the client’s Zendesk, for “A ticket is opened”
- Connect the client’s Google Sheets, for “Add a row”
- Fill in Google Sheets: Spreadsheet ID (For example from the URL: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/<this>/edit)
- Fill in Google Sheets: Sheet (tab) (For example Sheet1)
- Check the order of Google Sheets’s values, column by column against the client’s columns
