When a message is sent to the bot in Telegram, create a record in Airtable.
Start the 14-day trial, then find it under Templates → Library. It installs into the client you choose, switched off, with its checklist.
Every step, in order
When it happens in the first app, the step runs in the second, with the client’s own account.
- A message is sent to the bot
- A message to the bot, within seconds. A bot sends its messages to one place: one workflow per bot, and no other tool may use the same bot’s updates. In a group, the bot sees only commands, replies and mentions unless privacy mode is off (BotFather).

- Add one row to a table. Field names must match the table’s columns.

The accounts it needs
Each is the client’s own, stored encrypted and never copied between clients. Until one is added the client’s checklist shows it, and nothing runs.
In Telegram, message @BotFather → /newbot → copy the token. Add the bot to the client’s group, or have the client message it once.
airtable.com/create/tokens → Create token → scopes data.records:write and data.records:read (lookups and the triggers) → add the client’s base → copy the token.
After you install it
It lands switched off. The client’s checklist holds exactly this:
- Connect the client’s Telegram, for “A message is sent to the bot”
- Connect the client’s Airtable, for “Create a record”
- Fill in Airtable: Base ID (From the base’s URL: airtable.com/appXXXX/…)
- Fill in Airtable: Table (For example Leads)
- Match Airtable’s fields to the client’s own: Message, Chat type private group, Group name, Senders first name
