Every step, in order
When it happens in the first app, the step runs in the second, with the client’s own account.

- A new message in a channel, checked every 5 minutes; joins and the bot’s own posts are skipped. The app needs channels:history (groups:history for a private channel) and must be in the channel.

What each client fills in
- Telegram: Chat ID
- For example -1001234567890 or @channel
- Slack: Channel ID
- The channel’s details → About: the ID at the bottom.
The accounts it needs
Each is the client’s own, stored encrypted and never copied between clients. Until one is added the client’s checklist shows it, and nothing runs.
In the client’s Slack: api.slack.com/apps → Create New App → OAuth & Permissions → add the chat:write scope (and channels:history, plus groups:history for a private channel, for the message trigger) → Install to Workspace → copy the Bot User OAuth Token. Invite the app to the channel.
In Telegram, message @BotFather → /newbot → copy the token. Add the bot to the client’s group, or have the client message it once.
After you install it
It lands switched off. The client’s checklist holds exactly this:
- Connect the client’s Slack, for “A message is posted in a channel”
- Connect the client’s Telegram, for “Send a message”
- Fill in Slack: Channel ID (The channel’s details → About: the ID at the bottom)
- Fill in Telegram: Chat ID (For example -1001234567890 or @channel)
