UsesBeta

Every step, in order

When it happens in the first app, the step runs in the second, with the client’s own account.

Someone joins the mailing list
A new subscriber on an audience (a signup form, an import), checked every 15 minutes.
Send a message
Message a chat, group or channel the bot is in.

What each client fills in

Telegram: Chat ID
For example -1001234567890 or @channel
Mailchimp: Audience ID
Audience → Settings → Audience name and defaults: the Audience ID.

The accounts it needs

Each is the client’s own, stored encrypted and never copied between clients. Until one is added the client’s checklist shows it, and nothing runs.

  • In the client’s Mailchimp: Profile → Extras → API keys → Create A Key. The server prefix is the part after the dash (us21).

  • Telegram

In Telegram, message @BotFather → /newbot → copy the token. Add the bot to the client’s group, or have the client message it once.

After you install it

It lands switched off. The client’s checklist holds exactly this:

  1. Connect the client’s Mailchimp, for “Someone joins the mailing list”
  2. Connect the client’s Telegram, for “Send a message”
  3. Fill in Mailchimp: Audience ID (Audience → Settings → Audience name and defaults: the Audience ID)
  4. Fill in Telegram: Chat ID (For example -1001234567890 or @channel)
