When a record is changed in Airtable, send a message in Telegram.

Every step, in order
When it happens in the first app, the step runs in the second, with the client’s own account.
- A record is changed
- A row edited in a table, checked every 15 minutes; optionally only rows in a view (“A record enters Ready to quote”). Airtable says when a row changed only through a field: add a “Last modified time” field to the table (limit it to the columns that matter) and name it here. The token needs data.records:read.

What each client fills in
- Telegram: Chat ID
- For example -1001234567890 or @channel
- Airtable: Base ID

- Airtable: Last modified time field
- A field of type “Last modified time” in this table.
The accounts it needs
Each is the client’s own, stored encrypted and never copied between clients. Until one is added the client’s checklist shows it, and nothing runs.
airtable.com/create/tokens → Create token → scopes data.records:write and data.records:read (lookups and the triggers) → add the client’s base → copy the token.
In Telegram, message @BotFather → /newbot → copy the token. Add the bot to the client’s group, or have the client message it once.
After you install it
It lands switched off. The client’s checklist holds exactly this:
- Connect the client’s Airtable, for “A record is changed”
- Connect the client’s Telegram, for “Send a message”
- Fill in Airtable: Base ID (For example appXXXXXXXXXXXXXX)
- Fill in Airtable: Table (For example Leads)
- Fill in Airtable: Last modified time field (A field of type “Last modified time” in this table)
- Fill in Telegram: Chat ID (For example -1001234567890 or @channel)
